GENERAL INFORMATION

Basketball clubs Tapiolan Honka and Espoo Basket Team kindly welcome you and your team to the 17th international tournament in Espoo, Finland. It is now the 13th time that the tournament is being arranged together with Honka and EBT.

The tournament takes place between 27th and 29th of August 2010 at schools and sport halls of southern Espoo. Again this year the main venue for the games will be Esport Arena, a high standard sports arena located in Tapiola. This arena offers us 17 courts and a totally unique feel for the tournament. The semifinals are played on Saturday evening and Sunday morning. Each participating team is guaranteed to play at least 4 games.

There are both Competitive and Fun categories for each age group. The participating teams are accepted by the order of registration.

REGISTRATION

You can register through our WEB REGISTRATION FORM (registration starts April 7th). Click "In English" on the top right corner of the registration web site. The last day for registration is the 14th of August.

TOURNAMENT OFFICE

The tournament office is located in Esport Arena where the tournament meals are also served. Lodging takes place in a hotel or school accommodation, depending on your wishes. The tournament office opens at noon on Friday the 27th. You can check the results and standings of all categories from the result board next to the office. The results are also entered into our web service immediately after the games, and can be found at http://www.turnauspalvelu.fi/ehbt2010. Also the jury of the tournament can be found in the tournament office.

TRANSPORTATION FOR THE TEAMS WITH THE ACCOMMODATION PASS

There are two different routes (RING1, RING2) serving between the lodging school and other venues. The stops for the buses are marked with tournament logos. Please be at the stops rather beforehand than too late since the schedules may not always be accurate.

There are special arrangements for transportation in case of very difficult game schedules, contact the office if necessary. The same applies with the games starting late in the evening.

ARRANGEMENTS AT SCHOOLS

There are kiosks selling snacks and refreshments in all schools during the games. A local supervisor who is ready to deal with all questions and problems of the participiants handles the general arrangements of each court. You will recognize him/her by the orange-colored tournamet t-shirt.
